Adrian Lewis, a two-time Darts World Champion and protégé of Phil Taylor, has been suspended by the PDC for an on-stage altercation with Jose Justicia on Friday night.
During a UK Open qualifier, in a far tamer backdrop than one would usually associate with professional darts, Lewis became increasingly irritated with Justicia.
Although it would appear that it was the Spaniard who had the greater reason to be upset, Lewis became increasingly agitated during the tight affair.
Lewis would see out the tie, losing in the next round to Michael van Gerwen. However, he has since been suspended.
Giving their run down of events, the PDC released a statement regarding Lewis' behaviour and the subsequent action being taken:
Following a review of the incidents which occurred in his match with Jose Justicia at Friday's UK Open qualifier, the Darts Regulation Authority has suspended Adrian Lewis with immediate effect pending a full investigation in to the matter.

After that exchange, Lewis eventually made a move toward the Spaniard.
Hope he gets banned indefinitely. pic.twitter.com/jwhpjqdwi8
