Ireland's youngest ever Irish Paralympian Ellen Keane opens up in this video about the pressures of competing and how she used disappointing finish in the breaststroke competition in Glasgow as fuel for her other 5 races where she brought home a medal.
Ellen also discusses her motivation and focus heading towards the Paralympic Games in Rio in 2016.
Training for Ellen is about making small strides every time you train. Making sure every session counts towards the goal she is working towards.
She also gives some fantastic advice that every athlete could use:
Everyday when I wake up I'm focused about that day. I'm not focused on 365 days but I'm focused on each day as it comes.
