Sanita Puspure won gold for Ireland in the women's single sculls at the European Rowing Championships in Poznan on Sunday.
The medal is Ireland's fourth of the championships with Fintan McCarthy having claimed bronze in the lightweight men's single sculls earlier in the day and Irish crews also winning bronze in the men's double sculls and the women's four.
Puspure finished ahead of Magdalena Lobnig of Austria in second and Anneta Kyridou of Greece in third.
The 38-year-old began the race in midfield but soon built up an insurmountable lead.
"It was very fast,2 said Puspure.
"I just kept my head down and focused on my race. I executed it the best I could, but those girls are fast!"
Puspure was already a two-time world champion. She is also now a two-time European champion.
