It has been a memorable debut IPC Swimming World Championships for Nicole Turner.
The 13-year-old from Laois has entered four events so far and made the finals in all of them.
Earlier today, she broke her personal best in the 50m freestyle by nearly two seconds as she qualified for the final.
In the final, she came close to emulating that time as she finished sixth in a race which saw the world record broken by Yelyzaveta Mereshko of Ukraine.

Speaking after the event, Nicole was ebullient about her performance so far.
I’m proud of all of my swims so far, and I’m really looking forward to the last two events!
Nicole is not the only one delighted with her championship, team manager Hayley Burke said that the teenager has 'blown everyone away'.
Nicole has just blown us away with her performances this this week. She’s really lifted the whole team and is completely unfazed by this world stage that she’s now on!
The two events which Nicole has remaining are the SM6 200m individual medley on Friday and the S6 100m freestyle on Sunday.
