There is something in the water around Skibbereen Rowing Club that makes stars of their rowers.
After the O'Donovan brothers won silver at the Olympics last year, the duo of Mark O'Donovan and Shane O'Driscoll forced their way into the public's consciousness this year.
The duo dominated the lightweight pairs event all year, and capped off an excellent 2017 with gold at the World Championships in Florida last month.
After a whirlwind few weeks, Mark and Shane made their way to RTE for an appearance on The Ray D'Arcy Show to chat about an amazing year on the waters.
They also proved that their talents are there to see on dry land too!

It always helps when the audience get involved in a sing-song. Shane made sure they joined in anyways!
Not often we see our sports stars so open and relaxed. The Skibbereen crew are a breath of fresh air.
