For someone in their teens or early 20s, it might be hard to believe, but there was a time when basketball was huge in Ireland.
In the 80s teams began to import Americans deemed not good enough for the NBA but still adequately skilled to play ball professionally.
Halls all over the island drew capacity crowds to see the sport played at a level never before seen in this country.
That period for the sport in Ireland is brilliantly captured in the documentary 'We Got Game - The Golden Age of Irish Basketball'.
Made by Motive Television, it features interviews with the stars of the day including Kelvin Troy, Jasper McElroy, Dave Hopla and a man who would go onto win three NBA titles, Mario Elie.
