After a spirited defeat to Australia, Ireland's men hockey side went in to today's clash with Pakistan knowing that a win was required to hold on to any hope of Olympic qualification. And that's exactly what happened.
Alan Sothern grabbed the only goal of the game in Antwerp to send Ireland through to Sunday's fifth-place play-off where a win over either Malaysia or France will give Ireland a good chance of getting through to Rio. Here's the all important goal:
