Yesterday 90s kids got the news that they've been waiting for since 1996, that looney tunes and Michael Jordan collaboration Space Jam could FINALLY be getting a sequel.

Entertainment reporter Alex Weprin broke the news that Warner Brothers have filed new trademarks for Space Jam. The remake could have the 21st Century's answer to Michael Jordan, Lebron James in the main role. This comes after LeBron signed a deal with the studio, and recently co-starred in Amy Schumer film Trainwreck.

LeBron has previously expressed an interest in making Space Jam too with this tweet from 2012.

While people are very excited about the prospect of Bugs and co returning to the big screen, the rumours of James starring in the project has received a much more mixed reception.
