We can't definitively say hoverboarding is a sport but then again we can't really deny it either.
Prospective TD's will say an awful lot of crap in an effort to get elected but this is going a step to far. The Connaught Telegraph are today reporting that Tate Levin, a possible independent candidate in the next general election, has made public calls for the construction of a hoverboard park in Castlebar.
We need something to make Castlebar stand out and I believe a hoverboard park could be it. There would be an element of cost involved but I firmly believe we could recoup that cost with the amount of people it would bring to the town, which is in need of a tourism boost.
We're not entirely sure if someone has taken the piss out of the Telegraph, or they are taking the piss out of us but nonetheless they are reporting it as if it is legit. Mr Levin's name would make us extremely sceptical (Levin, Tate) but we'll run (hover) with it just for the fun of it.
It seems Mr Levin saw this video that Lexus released of their prototype hoverboard and the only obvious conclusion was that Castlebar needed to be at the forefront of this, not at all even remotely commercially viable, technology.

Despite calling it 'a no brainer'. Levin accepted that the product wasn't commercially available before completely ignoring that fact and seeing a glorious future.
Castlebar and Mayo needs something to make it stand out and this could well be it.
We'll leave the jokes up to you.
