What are we celebrating again?
Well, in the event you've spent the last few days oblivious to what has been going on at the Hockey World Cup, the Ireland Women's Hockey Team have just made it all the way to a final, only to be beaten by the Netherlands.
An incredible achievement that brought hockey into the living rooms of so many unsuspecting households, the quarter-final and semi-final wins against India and Spain respectively were astounding sporting events; both in terms of the team's achievements, and the reactions they garnered.
So, to run over that once again.
The Ireland Hockey Team Homecoming will take place on Dame Street this afternoon from 3:00pm.
Entry to the cordoned off area is possible from 2:00pm onward. It's a Bank Holiday, so get down there and give them the reception they deserve.
