Paul O'Connell's timing on 'A Question Of Sport' couldn't be better, as right when everyone is thinking about how great it would be to see more Irish sports stars on a quiz show, RTÉ are launching a new Irish sporting quiz show.
'Know The Score' will air it's first episode on Sunday evening, and there are some great guests lined up, including the hugely popular O'Donovan brothers.
We were sent over a preview clip, and sure enough Gary and Paul stole the show as they had the audience and contestants in stitches as they belittled their achievements in Rio, claiming that people think they're Olympic champions when they didn't even win.
We'll certainly be watching.
Presented by Jacqui Hurley and with regular team captains Shane Byrne and Ruby Walsh, the show starts this Sunday, November 6th on RTÉ One at 8.30pm. There will be 8 episodes, 7 half hours and then a one hour Christmas special.
The guests over the series also include AP McCoy, Luke Fitzgerald, Richie Hogan, Joe Canning, Andy Lee, Michael Conlan, Clinton Morrison, Derval O'Rourke, Natalya Coyle, Scott Evans, John Muldoon, Annalise Murphy, Kevin Kilbane, Niamh Briggs, Katie Walsh, Michael McKillop, and David Gillick, among others.
This is something that has been tried before, but we're glad to see it back and will be hoping for more of the same as above when it all kicks off.
Thanks to 'Loosehorse' for sending over the footage.
