Team Ireland’s Olympic campaign ratchets up a further level on day three of Tokyo 2020, with the Rugby Sevens team beginning their campaign.
It has been an encouraging start for Team Ireland so far, and they will be hoping they can build on their strong start on day three.

Who are the Irish in action on day three at Tokyo 2020?
Team Ireland’s action begins at 2am as the Women’s Hockey team take on an all-conquering Dutch side.
At 3am the Rugby Seven’s side face off against South Africa in the first of their two games in Pool C. They will also face the United States at 10.30am on Monday morning Irish time.
Boxer Brendan Irvine also gets his campaign underway at 4.03am as he takes on Philippine fighter Carlo Paalam.
Michaela Walsh is also in action as he stakes on Italian Irma Testa in the Featherweight Division at 6.27am.
Liam Jegou is also involved in the semi-finals of the Canoe Slalom at 6am, while Annalise Murphy is involved in the laser radial, beginning at 6.30am.
Nhat Nguyen also gets his Tokyo 2020 campaign underway 11.20am when he takes on Sri Lankan Niluka Karunaratne in Badminton.
Swimmer Brendan Hyland begins his Games in the 200m butterfly at 11.20am, while Ellen Walshe is up at 11.40am in the individual medley.
Carolyn Hayes will complete Team Ireland’s action on Monday night in the Triathlon at 10.30pm.
How to watch the Irish in action?
RTÉ's coverage on Sunday begins at 0:55am on RTÉ 2, ahead of the Ireland’s clash against the Dutch in the hockey at 2am.
The coverage runs through to 3:30pm on RTÉ 2, before a two-hour highlights programme at 7pm hosted by Darragh Maloney.
After an hour’s break, RTÉ will continue their coverage of the games at 10.30pm.
What else to look out for on day three in Tokyo?
It’s not just Team Ireland who are in action on day three of Tokyo 2020, Fiji will take on Japan in a mouth-watering Rugby Sevens clash, while Team GB’s Jamie Murray begins his double’s campaign against hosts Japan.
Meanwhile, there is an all South American clash in the Beach Volleyball round between Brazil and Argentina. That begins at 1.45pm Irish time.
