Daire Lynch and Philip Doyle lit up the men's double sculls semi-finals on Tuesday morning, securing their place in Thursday's Olympics final.
The Irish duo won their semi-final heat and progressed with the fastest overall time to ignite hopes of yet another Olympic medal on the water for Team Ireland.
Ireland have enjoyed great success in the rowing events at recent Olympics, with three medals across the last two games.
Paul O'Donovan has been the face of much of that success, with the Skibereen man taking silver in the lightweight double sculls alongside his brother Gary in Rio before claiming gold alongside Fintan McCarthy in Tokyo.
O'Donovan and McCarthy are right in the mix for silverware once again, with the Cork duo through to the semi-finals of the lightweight double sculls once again.
It's clear that they are keeping a close eye on the exploits of their teammates, however, judging by RTÉ's coverage of Philip Doyle and Daire Lynch's semi-final win on Tuesday morning.

Paul O'Donovan calls Olympic gold for Irish rowing duo
Daire Lynch and Philip Doyle took a decisive victory in Tuesday's men's double sculls semi-final, cruising into the final with a time of 6:13.14. That time was the fastest across both of Tuesday's semi-finals.
Having entered the Olympics with hopes of a medal, Lynch and Doyle now look like genuine contenders for gold in Paris.

Ex-rower Tim Harnedy analysed their victory on RTÉ on Tuesday morning and said that the Irish pair were right in the mix for a gold medal.
Harnedy also revealed that his fellow Corkman Paul O'Donovan had been in touch immediately after the semi-final, tipping Doyle and Lynch to go all the way.
We've seen everything from everyone else, I don't think we've seen everything from Ireland. That would be my synopsis of what's happened this morning in the men's double.
Definitely [they're on for gold]. Paul O'Donovan just texted me there saying, 'I think they should win now.'
I don't know where he is, God knows where that fella is, he's probably in the pub or something!
I think he's confident now that the men's double are gold medal contenders, and I would probably agree with him.
One would certainly hope that Paul O'Donovan's instincts are right. If both O'Donovan/McCarthy and Lynch/Doyle claim gold, there is every chance they could be spotted together in a Paris pub in celebration.
Daire Lynch and Philip Doyle's final takes place on Thursday morning at 10:30 Irish time.
