Paddy Barnes is out of the Olympics after a surprise defeat to Spaniard Samuel Carmona Heredia in Rio.
The Belfast boxer lost the last 16 bout by split decision.
Post-fight, speaking to Evanne Ni Chuilinn on RTÉ, Barnes was brutally honest about the fight.
I shouldn't have been fighting at this weight. It's so hard to get down to it. In the second round I had nothing left. I don't even know how I threw those punches because I had absolutely nothing left to give.
Barnes felt that if he had been gone through, he would have been 'embarrassed' come the next round.
Even if I had come out of the fight there. Next fight I would have got hammered again because I had no energy.
Just as well I got beat because I would have got embarrassed next week.
