Arguably the most spectacular of the venues at the Paris 2024 Olympics sits directly in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower.
The temporary stadium at the Champ de Mars has hosted the beach volleyball events during the Games, creating a stupendous backdrop to one of the more fun sports on the immense Olympic programme.
Under a night-time Paris sky on Friday, Brazil took on Canada in the women's gold medal match, with an illuminated Eiffel Tower creating the perfect golden backdrop.
The Brazilian duo of Ana Patrícia and Duda Lisboa would ultimately take gold with a 2-1 victory over Canada's Melissa Humana-Paredes and Brandie Wilkerson.
However, that came after tensions had flared in the closing stages of the decisive third set.
With Brazil closing on the tally of 15 points required to win the final set and clinch Olympic gold, the two pairs clashed in the centre of the court, with the referee forced to intervene as fingers were pointed and voices were raised. Wilkerson was shown a yellow card for her role in the dispute.
It was then that the DJ stepped in to calm the atmosphere and inadvertently created one of the most hilarious and strangely touching moments of these Olympics.

Olympics DJ makes hilarious John Lennon choice during volleyball gold medal match
As tempers rose in the Olympics beach volleyball final, the expected burst of pop music was blaring around the Eiffel Tower Stadium (yes, that is its official name).
However, as the two teams were eventually separated after a heated discussion, the Paris DJ made the inspired choice to pivot to John Lennon's 'Imagine.'
The ensuing scenes were almost surreal.
The funniest moment of the Paris Olympics.

Both the Brazilian and Canadian duos could not help but laugh at the sensational switch-up from the DJ, with all four players begrudgingly smiling and applauding the MC for the hilarious moment.
Meanwhile, the entire crowd began to sway and sing along to the 1970s peace anthem, in a strangely touching moment.
Safe to say 'Imagine' did its job of bringing peace between the two teams in action on Friday night.
This is not the first time that Lennon's most famous solo song has been used at an Olympics, or even at these Paris Games.
A performance of the song was a pivotal moment in the London 2012 closing ceremony, while it has also been utilised at the opening ceremonies of Tokyo 2020 and the Beijing 2022 winter games.
It formed part of a major moment during the opening ceremony to these Olympics, when a live performance of the song took place on a boat floating down the River Seine.
However, it's hard to argue that the unexpected appearance of the song during the beach volleyball final is its best use yet at an Olympic Games.
