Nicole Turner finished eighth in the final of the S6 400m Freestyle in Rio on Tuesday night. Remarkably, it was the fourth final of the Games for the 14-year-old.
Preparation for the final was not ideal. After breaking her personal best in the heat to qualify, Turner's usual period of rest before a race in the evening was disrupted when a fire alarm went off in her apartment block and the building had to be evacuated.
I'm pretty tired to be honest. I've had a bit of a stressful day. There was smoke coming out of vents in our apartment block. I didn't really get back to bed after this morning. I'm pretty tired.
Wednesday is a welcome day of rest for Turner whose Paralympics are not yet at an end. She still has her two favourite events to come - the 100m breaststroke on Thursday and the 100m Freestyle on Saturday.
