There were joyous scenes on Portland Row in Dublin on Sunday morning after the road's native daughter Kellie Harrington won gold for Ireland at the Olympic Games.
The 31-year-old Dubliner defeated Brazil's Beatriz Ferreira by unanimous decision to claim lightweight gold in Tokyo. It is Ireland's second gold medal of the Games, and just the country's third ever boxing gold medal.
"Look at the people, that's what it's about, it's about them, it's about all the community," Kellie's brother Chris told RTÉ.
Kellie's brother Joel perfectly encapsulated a superb performance by his sister.
"I've looked up to Kellie all my life," he said.
"To see her on the telly doing what [she's done], I'm speechless.
"Kellie did what she does in the biggest moment, on the biggest stage, when others would freeze. Kellie loosened up and expressed herself.
"She won gold for her road, her community, her county, her country, her sport. She is a role model for her sport. She's the flag bearer for the country, the flag bearer for her sport. Everything she gets, every ounce of it, she deserves."
Kellie's mother Yvonne, as she has been throughout the Olympics, was too nervous to watch her daughter fight.
"I don't know, I didn't watch it!" she replied when asked by Marty Morrissey about Kellie's performance in the second and third rounds.
"I stayed out the garden, out the back.
"I'm so proud of her, so delighted for her. She done it for all of us. All of us!
"She wanted to see the people smiling. That's all she wanted, to make people happy."
