With everyone, including Conor McGregor, offering opinions as to why some of the Irish boxers have underperformed one of Ireland's chief medal hopes finally gets into the ring today when Michael Conlan faces a challenge from Armenia.
Elsewhere, Seamus Power and Padraig Harrington are in action in the final round of the golf while Breege Connolly, Lizzie Lee and Fionnula McCormack will compete in the marathon. It is also a huge day for Ciara Mageean in the 1500 metres.
Greg Broderick will be Ireland's sole medal chance in the individual jumping this afternoon too.

Irish In Action - Day Nine (All times listed are Irish times)
Golf: Men's Individual Final Round - Padraig Harrington and Seamus Power -- 11am
Seamus Power and Padraig Harrington will play their final tound today with Power largely out of contention. Harrington, though, could face an outside chance of challenging for a bronze if the golf gods are smiling on him.
Athletics: Women's Marathon Final - Breege Connolly, Lizzie Lee and Fionnula McCormack -- 1.30pm
Fionnula McCormack represents Ireland's biggest chance here and a top 15 placing isn't out of the question. For Connolly and Lee to do the same would be a magnificent achievement.
Equestrian: Individual Jumping - Greg Broderick -- 2pm
Greg Broderick was a curious selection for the Irish Olympic team, with both higher-ranked riders Bertram Allen and Denis Lynch both left at home. The reasoning is clear though: he and his horse, Going Global, have been in tremendous form so far is 2016 and an Irish medal here certainly isn't out of the question.
Boxing: Men's Bantam 56kg - Michael Conlan -- 3.30pm
One of Ireland's chief medal hopes, Michael Conlan should advance in today's bout where he will likely meet Great Britain or Russia in the next round. Ireland's boxing hopes need a fill-up this Olympics and no better man than Mick Conlan to provide it.
Athletics: Women's 1500m Semi Final 1 - Ciara Mageean - 1.30am
Even though she is a European medalist, Ciara Mageean will have to be on her absolute best form to make an impact on the world stage. She can definitely do this, but it won't be easy.
Please note: The times listed above may vary.
