Minister for Sport Brendan Griffin was due to welcome home Team Ireland at Dublin airport on Wednesday afternoon. However, due to the snow - they had surely seen enough of it in PyeongChang - the event was delayed.
Three of Ireland's five Olympians - Brendan 'Bubba' Newby, Seamus O'Connor and Thomas Westgard - were due to land in Dublin at 12:40pm.
However, their flight was diverted to Manchester.

Ireland's two other Winter Olympians, Patrick McMillan and Tessa Arbez were not scheduled to attend the homecoming as they were preparing for races in Europe.
After a brief stop in Manchester, Team Ireland arrived back in Dublin at 3:10pm.
The upside of the current weather conditions: it may inspire future Irish Winter Olympians.
