As you may have seen, the Zimbabwe Herald have published a vile article entitled ‘Alcoholic Dumps Zim Out Of WC’ and written by a journalist named Robson Sharuko. The article has been roundly criticised (to put it mildly) after it outwardly slandered Ireland's John Mooney following his match winning catch to knock Zimbabwe out of the Cricket World Cup at the weekend.
This has resulted in quite a bit being said about Zimbabwe and the kind of country where this kind of article would be deemed acceptable. However, if the comments which follow the article are anything to go by, the Zimbabwean public have been as keen to criticise the journalist as we are.
So, not a Zimbabwean idea, merely one journalist's shameful attempt at creating controversy.
