Every WWE pay-per view can’t be great. And, in what has been a particular strong run of marquee WWE events, Night of Champions turned out to be somewhat of a letdown. Even Daniel Bryan’s momentous WWE Championship win over Randy Orton felt anti-climactic after a quick count from referee Scott Armstrong left WWE fans waiting for some hijinks to prevail. Ryback revealed himself to be Paul Heyman’s new ‘guy’, interfering to halt CM Punk’s beating of his former mentor and cost Punk the handicap match. Alberto Del Rio retained his World Championship by getting himself disqualified against RVD. In fact, aside from Bryan’s win, all of the title holders retained, leading to much disdain from the WWE audience as the PPV’s Night of Champions tag proved to be more ironic than anything else.
Still, bad pay-per views generally make for good tweets. And here’s the pick of the bunch.
It’s a tough job, but somebody has to do it. I ran the Breaking Bad spoilers gauntlet for you guys last night…
Looking for the best tweets for #WWENoC for @ballsdotie. If anyone spoils #BreakingBad, I don’t care if you’re my mother, you’re unfollowed.

Nice to see JR remain classy just days after his enforced retirement (where he was released for showing up to a WWE fan event twisted drunk)
Because you asked... I'm absolutely watching #WWENOC. Should be a good show. Who maximizes their minutes? @WWE
— Jim Ross (@JRsBBQ) September 16, 2013
I played this drinking game, personally, and ended up in a similar state to JR at that event…
Every time you hear "Best For Business," take a shot. #WWENOC

Yeah, there may be some flaws in Van Dam’s default game plan…
RVD would have a much higher success rate if he didn't stop to point to himself so often. #WWENOC

People weren’t pleased by WWE’s ‘Best Champions Ever’ polls (which included Booker-T as best World Heavyweight Champion)…
We can't take seriously any list of "greatest champions" that doesn't include Crash Holly. #WWENoC

If you’re ever missing JR’s commentary, you only ever have to look as far as Twitter to find out what he would’ve said…
Cue @JRsBBQ ... "It's a good thing @HeymanHustle is wearing dark pants." Followed by, "Heyman is running like a scalded dog."

Ryback interfered to stop CM Punk’s beating of Paul Heyman…
"ONLY I MAY BULLY PEOPLE!" #WWENOC

After he took time to complete his nightly rituals, that is…
Ryback would have saved Paul earlier had he not been forcing chips up the nose of a stagehand in catering. #WWENOC

Every cloud has a silver lining though…
On the plus side, this means we'll be spared having to listen to Ryback cut his own promos for a while. #WWENOC
