Confirmation comes late this afternoon that Lee-Saunders is off from Frank Warren.
Our own boxing wonk Gavan Casey has been pounding the phones all day. Here's his take on what will happen next for Lee.
I'm hearing Lee - Saunders rescheduled for November. I can't see them risking further postponement by having Lee fight a month before that, especially against a puncher like Spike. But worth noting that Warren put Saunders in the ring *after* the Lee fight was announced, so there is a chance Lee could get a soft touch, warm-up defence. I'd be looking at the likes of Kerry Hope, the feather-fisted Welshman, ranked WBO #13 or on the off chance, Tommy Langford, a prospect promoted by Warren, 13-0, 4KOs, one of Warren's only two middleweights, including Saunders.
Lee, to his credit, was sparring today with Bradley Skeete.

And now he's announced he's heading on holidays until the date is reset.
Hugely disappointed for myself and for the boxing public. These things happen. Me and @bjsaunders_ will get it on when the new date is set.
