"You couldn't write the script!"
Well, if you were in any way a decent screenwriter you would surely come up with something similar...
Simon Zebo was the talk of the rugby world this week as his decision to leave Munster for France was confirmed and he was subsequently left out of Joe Schmidt's Ireland squad for the Autumn internationals.
The Munster winger will be a big loss for both his club and his country, and if there was any doubt as to that fact Zebo's try just four minutes into his first game since the news broke, against Connacht on Friday night, would have put that to bed.
After latching onto a lovely offload from Rory Scannell, Zebo charged over to give his side and early lead in what was always going to be a fiercely contested game.
It had to be him.
The right place at the right time, he showed great feet to power over the line but that try is all about Rory Scannell, who made the decision to leave him out of the Ireland squad look like a strange one with that bit of magic.
Magnificent start for Munster at The Sportsgrounds.
