In this second installment of Blessed, Joseph N'Do continues his chat with former teammate and Sligo Rovers stalwart Raffaele Cretaro.
After a fascinating insight into their time spent together as Rovers' players in Part 1, this latest discussion considers the impact the "sexy Italian" Cretaro has had for both Sligo Rovers and Sligo town generally.
Compiling an array of tributes from staff, players and fans, the Tubbercurry man is visibly moved after hearing their kind words:
I'm quite shy enough, I come in and go about my routine ... but when you see there some of the reactions ... it's overwhelming to be honest with you, I didn't realise I had such an impact on them at all.
One of Rovers' longest-serving players and greatest goalscorers, Cretaro discusses his formative years with Real Tubber FC, realising his ambition of being a professional footballer and having a goal-scoring debut for Sligo Rovers.
Brought off the bench by Tommy Cassidy, Cretaro was keen to impress:
So he puts me on anyway. Within two minutes of going on they've taken a short free kick. I've pressed their central defender and he's given the ball back to the keeper, and I'm just running.
And the keeper has gone to kick the ball, and I've put out my foot, blocked the ball down, the ball has gone by the keeper and I'm running in on goal - Bang! 3-1, thanks for coming.
With plenty of contributions from friends and family who have known Cretaro from a young age, this fascinating interview will hopefully be the first of many from N'Do and Loch Bó Films.
