Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp made a striking comparision between Watford's Richarlison and Cristiano Ronaldo despite the fact the Brazilian missed two guilt edges chances in Watford's 4-2 defeat to Chelsea.

Richarlison did assist Roberto Pereyra for Watford to take the lead but the Brazilian fluffed his lines not once, but twice inside the six-yard box, the first of which came with the game beautifully poised at 1-1, but he directed his shot wide.

Then with Watford leading 2-1, Andre Carrillo crossed the ball to the unmarked Richarlison but he could not get his header on target from point-blank range.

In the studio after the game Redknapp was so impressed that he draw a comparison between the Brazilian and the current Ballon D'or holder and favourite to win it again this year.

He has the capability, the little things that he does are a little bit like a young Ronaldo.

I'm not saying he can be as good as him but he does special things on the ball that only a few people can do - he drifts past people, there's a little bit of petulance in his game still but if the manager can polish that diamond that's there, you can have a super talent and I mean it.

I remember seeing Ronaldo and thinking this kid is so special. He's got the lot it's just the little bits that he needs to polish.

Extremely high praise from the former Liverpool and Spurs midfielder about Watford's playmaker, when Cristiano Ronaldo was 18, he was plying his trade with Manchester United in the league and the Champions League, but Richarlison will certainly have attracted the interest of a number of big clubs already this season.

Watford are flying high as they sit in fifth place after eight games, winning four, drawing three and losing two including today's extremely unlucky loss to Chelsea. None of the Premier League's top six side's will look forward to playing this extremely well organised and difficult to beat outfit.
