James Cronin has tonight been cited for stamping on Leinster's scrum half replacement Jamison Gibson Park.
Seven minutes from the end, the Munster pack were looking to pile over the try line, when Cronin joined the ruck. Television cameras appeared to capture Cronin stamping on Park who lay on the Munster side of the ruck.
Gibson-Park, a New Zealand born scrum half, who arrived from the Wellington Hurricanes in the summer had already scored a handy try in his first Leinster-Munster match. His score put Leinster 25-7 ahead.
The Pro12 disclosed that the citing commissioner decided there was enough evidence to cite. He's set for a disciplinary hearing this Wednesday in Glasgow.
James Cronin, front row (No 17), for Munster Rugby has been cited by the Citing Commissioner in charge for alleged foul play in the 73rd minute against a Leinster player under Law 10.4 (b) – Stamping on an Opponent.
A disciplinary hearing will be held in Glasgow on Wednesday, October 12, 2016.
Watch the incident below. Not good for Cronin.
Jamison Gibson-Park lucky not to be binned. James Cronin will be lucky to avoid a citing for shoeing in the face. #LEINvMUN pic.twitter.com/PrwrZmtA9W
