Simon Grayson and Aiden McGeady have reunited at Sunderland with little joy. McGeady flourished under Grayson during his loan spell at Preston last season, as the club made a late surge for the promotion places. Grayson jumped ship to the Stadium of Light in the summer, but things have gone awry. The club began tonight's clash with Ipswich in the relegation zone with just six points from 12 games, and they are heading for another defeat tonight.
This is despite the best efforts of McGeady. With Sunderland trailing 4-1, he picked the ball up 20 yards from goal on the left hand side. What followed was a trademark effort: he cut inside onto his right foot, and clipped the ball into the far corner.

It's not the first spectacular goal McGeady has netted this season, have a look at this strike against Norwich for comparison.
