Ireland - lot of Irish people in Boston - Boston tea party - Irish people like tea. It's easy to see where Ariel Helwani and the folks at MMA Fighting were going with this piece on Paddy Holohan.
'The Hooligan' loves tea apparently and if anyone was watching the weigh in yesterday you might have seen, Helwani making a joke about Holohan running out of his favourite tea and sending for supplies when his entourage came over to Boston this week (no confirmation whether he's a Lyon's or Barry's man).
Now we know what Helwani was talking about. The interview that takes place around the tea is perfectly entertaining, but the fact that it's taking place at all is a testament to just how much Irish MMA is contributing to the UFC at the minute. Holohan is fighting well down the card but is being given the full media treatment, and all because he loves a spot of tea. Granted, it may also have something to do with his fighting ability but you would be hard pressed to see another fighter that low down a card (outside his home country get this kind of press attention).
