Children In Zambia Celebrate Their Brand New GAA Jerseys
Nah, just something in my eye.
The children in the YMCA Street Centre in Lusaka, Zambia have been celebrating this afternoon after being presented with a brand new set of GAA jerseys from a Cork club.
The centre provides care for underprivileged children on the streets of the Zambian capital, and with its sports team lacking sufficient kit, Douglas GAA Club and club member Máire O'Mahony stepped up to the mark, shipping a fresh batch of Douglas shirts 12,000km south.
Just look what it means to the kids.
Want to say a big thank you to Douglas Gaa club for their generous donation of a set of jerseys for the children at the YMCA street kids centre in Zambia . These will make a big difference to the centres sports team and to these lovely children. Representing well across the world

Brilliant.
Hats off to both Máire and Douglas GAA for making the children's day, and to the social workers at YMCA Zambia for their tremendous efforts each year.
We look forward to hearing how Lusaka's 'Dubh agus Glas' army progress throughout the season.
