The €300,000 a week man had a quite first half but he has started to repay the faith in goals for Madrid already. It was a solid yet unspectacular debut and he will be pleased with that having been troubled with injuries recently. Bale lasted 62 minutes before being replaced by Di Maria. Villareal and Madrid drew 2-2.
