The Atlanta Braves played the St. Louis Cardinals in the one-off National League Wild Card game last night. The Braves were trailing 6-3 in the eight inning when the umpires made a call with which Atlanta fans vehemently disagreed. They began peppering the field bottles, cans and any other rubbish that they could lay their hands on. Atlanta continued to play the game under protest with St.Louis finishing the game winners, 6-3.
