It was some evening of sport. You had the Lions, the hurling and.. the Community Shield.
If you chose to watch Leicester vs Manchester City, fair dues, but the FA Community Shield hasn't become much of a pinnacle for any team.
The annual event which sees the Premier League winners versus the FA Cup winners from the previous season has become a good runout for both sides.
However, for non Manchester City fans, seeing Leicester take it home would make you wish it was held in as high regard as the Champions League.
Despite the heroics of Kelechi Iheanacho - one of the biggest footballing talking points this week has been the signing of Jack Grealish.
Grealish made a £100 million move to Manchester City from Aston Villa, and last year was one of the Premier League's standout players before his season-ending injury.
Even though this was arguably a big game for Leicester and pride was on the line for Manchester City - Twitter turned their attention to the new signing. There were, mixed results.
Here were some of the highlights:

Is this going to be the norm now, rival teams booing Jack Grealish for no reason whatsoever? 🥱

There's plenty of guff being directed at Grealish over on Twitter, from Aston Villa fans to those just looking to get a word in.
Whatever your opinion is of him, the media attention has been second to none. It's been awhile since there's been this much hype over a new signing.
Can Manchester City replicate their 2020/2021 season and go all the way? We'll soon find out. They'd have have liked to start this season out on a better note.
