The Lions' game against the Provincial Barbarians was expected to be easiest one of their New Zealand tour.
The opening half certainly did not work out that way. Though they took a 3-0 lead through the boot of Johnny Sexton, it was an undeserved one.
From the restart, the NZ Baa-Baas came agonisingly close to what would have been a deserved try through centre Kaveinga Finau.
After Luteru Laulala made a break in midfield, the fullback offloaded to Finau. With the tryline gaping, it took a brilliant try-saving tackle from Wales number eight Toby Faletau to prevent a score.
