Drogheda United boss Tim Clancy has admitted that he is 'seriously considering' quitting League of Ireland management in light of his treatment by match officials.
The Boynesiders drew 0-0 with Sligo Rovers last night, with Clancy receiving his marching orders after some verbals with fourth official Derek Tomney.
This incident came in Clancy's first game back in the dugout after he served a three-game ban.
Drogheda's run-ins with match officials have been well documented so far this season.
After their FAI Cup defeat to Derry City, they were denied a 'stonewall penalty' in the eyes of their assistant boss Kevin Doherty as Jimmy Brown was sent off for an apparent dive.
"We really need to start looking at the treatment of the coaches on the sidelines in this league," Clancy told LMFM after last night's draw with Sligo at Head In The Game Park.
"I think some of them think the game is about them."

Tim Clancy Threatens To Quit League Of Ireland Management After His Treatment By Referees
There are multiple managers in this league who have got bans.. They can give me 10 games, 20 games, ban me for five years if they want. I've had enough of it at this stage and it has to be highlighted.
I know all the managers around the league are thinking the same, something has to be done..
It's like we're baby infants in school and we're told to sit down and listen to the teacher. For a match official to turn around and say it's not about you, what is it about then? It's about Drogheda United and Sligo Rovers..
This is not being the first time Clancy has taken issue with his treatment on the sidelines. As a result, he also said that he is considering leaving League of Ireland football if things do not change.
"Other teams seem to get lenient treatment," he added. "Maybe it's not consciously done but they seem to get it where far more serious incidents. Like one where a riot could be caused at a derby match, gets one game bans, with objects being thrown into the crowd.
"It's baffling. And I'm seriously thinking about walking away."
