Woods is currently +1 through 16 holes in what has been an underwhelming round thus far. However, he did pull a beauty of a shot out of his locker on the 7th (see below).
The tournament is currently being led by Jordan Spieth who carded a spectacular 64 to lead the field by three from Ernie Els, Justin Rose, Charley Hoffman and Jason Day. The last of those is still playing.
Augusta specialist Phil Mickelson is also playing well, and finished with an opening round 70 while McIlroy finished with a 71 for a -1 score. Padraig Harrington struck a level par 72, while debutant Shane Lowry hit a +3 par 75.
