Some days are slow news days. June 17 1994 was not one of them. Some of the things that happened. OJ Simpson set off on the freeway while the LAPD gave chase, Diana Ross showed off her penalty, the New York Rangers basked in the glow of having ended their 54 year Stanley Cup drought, and Arnold Palmer played his final round of golf at the US Open.
