If you are attending a game live sometimes you might leave early if the team you support is losing badly near the end. However if you leave when your team is merely losing, you run the risk of missing a great comeback. This is what happened to Miami Heat fans last night. Down 5 with around 30 seconds left, which can be an eternity in basketball, a lot of Miami Heat fans decided to leave early to beat the traffic.
If you watch the stands here you can see the amount of people leaving.
Prominent Miami sports journalist Dan Lebatard expressed shock and surprise at the amount of so called fans that poured out of the ground.
Mass exodus. Gotta beat traffic, you know?

So many people have left that I'm honestly embarrassed for this city.

The funny thing is that the fans who left tried to come back in but the stadium has a strict no re-admittance policy so they were left to wait outside until afterwards. Let that be a lesson to all fickle fans in future.
Honestly embarrassing. I'm setting up for my live shot outside the arena, just watching fan after fan exit early.

Now I'm watching horrible, drunk, quitting fans desperately trying to get back in. This is madness.

None of them deserve to be let in. They are pounding the glass doors. I'm all for gender equality but I'm only seeing female guards....
