Early in the day, the eyes will be on the Lagoa Stadium as our rowing pairs in the men's and women's lightweight double sculls attempt to reach the Olympic final.
ROWING
Women's Lightweight Double Sculls: semi-final
1.00pm
Claire Lambe and Sinead Lynch go in the semi-final of the women's lightweight double sculls in Lagoa Stadium. The pair finished second behind the South Africans in their heat on Monday. Gets underway at 1.00pm Irish time.
Men's Lightweight Double Sculls: semi-final
1.10pm
The O'Donovan brothers' impressive victory in the heat on Monday was followed by their memorable post-race interview, by common consent the most Cork thing that has ever occurred. Gary and Paul will be in lane 4. They are a decent shot for a medal and will be fancied to progress. Up Skibb.
SWIMMING
Women's 200m Breaststroke - heat
5.47pm
After the agony and anger at the weekend, Fiona Doyle goes again in the 200m breaststroke today. The 100m breaststroke had been pegged as her favoured event but this at least is a chance to salvage something from the Olympic experience.
BOXING
Men's Light heavyweight: Last 16
23.20
Our boxing troupe could do with a result after a rough couple of days. Joe Ward will face Carlos Andros Mina, who shall henceforth be known as the Ecuadorian, in the round of 16 late tomorrow night. The Ecuadorian beat German Serge Michel to make it this far.
