What can you read into a tweet? Perhaps nothing. Perhaps a whole lot. After reading the below tweet today from the Irish Federation of Sport, I couldn't help but get the feeling that the organisation isn't overly excited about Limerick's bid to host the 2018 Gay Games.
My feeling is based on two structural points with the tweet:
1. The tweet in question does not mention the event in question. If the story hadn't been in the news last week, I might have presumed the city was trying to host an international egg-and-spoon Olympics. I can't do a spot-character check, but I'm pretty sure the words 'Gay' and 'Games' could be squeezed in there.
2. The link to explain what the tweet is about is dead.

A tweet is pretty minor thing in the end of the day, but they tell their own story. Either get behind these things or just say nothing.
