Four years ago, Annalise Murphy entered the final race of the Women's Laser Radial class in 2nd position, having led the event throughout the early part of the week. After the final race, she slipped to 4th spot. Her pain at missing out on the podium was plain to see in her post-race interview to RTE.

This time around, she entered the final race of the laser radial class in third place. At one stage during the final race, she had got herself into the gold medal position but ultimately finished in second spot.
She secured Ireland's second - and probably last - medal of the Rio Olympics. It is Ireland's second medal ever won in sailing, the first being the silver won by David Wilkins and James Wilkinson in the Flying Dutchman class at the Moscow Olympics.
Here's her chuffed interview with RTE.
