While I always thought jumping into the canals in Dublin would turn you into some kind of mutant, this excellent short documentary suggests it makes you a man.

'Becoming Men' focuses on young people going to extraordinary heights (literally) to dive into the canal around Grand Canal Dock, set against a voice over by folklorist Terry Fagan, who recalls swimming and diving into the inner city waterways in his youth, despite the dangers involved.
