Before I get into this week's fantasy football round-up, please forgive me as I gloat. I'm fresh off a shockingly good fantasy weekend. 94 points. Ninty-four. Rooney-free Van Persie delivers as captain, Tevez stays steady, Cazorla finally delivers and sneakily good McAuley drives another West Brom clean sheet and I'm laughing. This is one of those rare weeks in the fantasy season where I feel like I truly understand the whims of the Premier League. I'm sure a 30-pointer week awaits. You'll find my 94 point dream team below.
Studs:
RVP - I was watching the Dublin-Mayo match on the Fitzsimons roof garden while checking phone updates of United-Southampton with a buddy who had Tevez as a captain. When RVP (my captain) missed that penalty I thought my week was over. Twenty minutes later, I had 30 points in my back pocket. I'm glad he's back to 2011 fantasy levels.
The West Brom defense - One goal allowed in three games. McAuley and Foster are must-owns now. The Steve Clarke revolution is reaping dividends.
Michu - The number one player in fantasy after 3 crazy weeks. Pretty remarkable.
Steven Fletcher: a 13-pointer on his Premier League return. He doesn't seem like great value at 7.0, but I think he'll be banging them in Yakubu style this yaer.
Snodgrass - Owned by the authors of a few Balls.ie owners from the Day One. He scored Saturday and now is the number one fantasy player for Norwich.
Duds
Any Newcastle player not named Ben Arfa: Remember the heady days of November 2011 or even March 2012 when the likes of Ba or Cisse or even Krul, Ryan Taylor and Danny Simpson won you easy points? Gone are the days.
Wayne Rooney: That gash is going to set him down the United pecking order and it's hard to see much of a way back for him. Only owned by 7% of people, unlike RVP, who's owned by 28% of owners.
Liverpool players/Spurs players - It's not getting any better for any of them. Lots of talent, little delivery.
