The 12 stadiums that form part of Ireland's bid for the 2023 Rugby World Cup have been revealed. The headline detail is that eight GAA grounds have been included as part of the bid.
The four obvious rugby grounds are the Aviva Stadium, the RDS, Ravenhill and Thomond Park.
The eight GAA grounds that have been selected are Croke Park, Pairc Ui Chaoimh (Cork), Pearse Stadium (Galway), Casement Park (Belfast), Fitzgerald Stadium (Killarney), McHale Park (Castlebar), Nowlan Park (Kilkenny), Celtic Park (Derry).

Semple Stadium is absent from the bid.
It is not envisaged that the Millennium Stadium will host any games, as appears to be obligatory whenever a World Cup is held in the northern hemisphere. Even when France and England held the tournament, games were played in Cardiff.
