Sad news from Down Under. Sean Wight, one of the pioneering forces in Aussie Rules's 'Irish Experiment', has died from lung cancer. Wight, who was born in Glasgow but was a former Listowel Emmets club man, played as a Kerry minor before heading to Australia just before Jim Stynes. He played with the Melbourne Demons and he made 150 appearances in his career. Australians considered him to be "one of the great athletes of his time." He was 47.
