Andorra ended a 66-game winless run in competitive fixtures on Friday night as they defeated Hungary 1-0.
The 2018 World Cup qualifier was the final international match for Andorra veteran Josep Ayala, who captained the side on the day, and having not played the last time his nation won a qualifier against Macedonia 13 years ago (also a 1-0 win), he recorded his first competitive win as an international at the 81st attempt.
The goal that won it came after 25 minutes, a crazy looping header on the counter-attack, which was followed by the longest 70 minutes of football in Andorran history.
Remarkably, the win means that Andorra are now on a good run of form for likely the first time ever, as the result follows a 2-0 friendly win over San Marino and a 0-0 draw with the Faroe Islands in the qualifiers.
Still, this was a competitive win, and the overjoyed reaction that greeted the final whistle shows just how much it meant to the entire squad.
The stats from the win against Hungary, who are ranked 33rd in the world and topped their group in Euro 2016 before losing to Belgium in the knockout stage, reads like the most frustrating game of FIFA ever.
Incredible from Andorra. 44 completed passes! pic.twitter.com/xIKegotlWs

That feeling when you win your first competitive game since 2004 and complete just 44 passes in the process.
Congratulations, Andorra! pic.twitter.com/yfv226HJ5Q— B/R Football (@brfootball) June 9, 2017
Fair play to Andorra, we imagine there'll be a few sore heads in the morning.
