Is the dream team of Martin O'Neill and Roy Keane about to come to an end?
Reports in Israel claim the Republic of Ireland assistant manager is top of their list, to lead the country in Euro 2020 qualification.
According to One, Roy Keane is the favoured candidate to replace manager Elisha Levy, should the 59-year-old be replaced at the end of World Cup qualifying.
Ofer Eini, chairman of the Israel Football Association, is considering the possibility of appointing Roy Keane as coach of the Israeli national team. Eini is backing coach Elisha Levy, but is not happy with the way the team looks and is considering replacing Elisha at the end of the campaign with the former player, who currently serves as assistant coach of the Ireland national team.
Israel are currently in fourth place in Group G, seven points behind Spain and Italy after six games. The team look unlikely to reach the World Cup finals next summer.
With the European Championships having been increased to 24 teams, Euro 2020 represents Israel's best chance of reaching a major international tournament.
The FAI have yet to comment on the reports coming from Israel about Roy Keane.
