On the same morning that Oscar Pistroius broke down in tears at his bail application hearing in Pretoria, South African newspapers published more reports on the nature of the death of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp. According to reports in Afrikaan-language paper Beeld, Steenkamp had hidden herself inside Pistorious bathroom and was shot four times through the closed door. She was hit with bullets in the head, chest, pelvis and hand and was found by police dead in the bathroom.
Pistorius will spend the weekend in jail as his bail session was pushed back to Tuesday. Prosecutors will be looking to charge Pistorius with 'premeditated murder'.
