Cork claimed their record-breaking 27th All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship with a 0-10 to 0-09 win over 2016 champions Kilkenny in Croke Park.
While Cork's camogie players made history, special credit must be given to the team's captain Rena Buckley. Having won her 18th senior All-Ireland title, Buckley now becomes the most decorated GAA star of all time.
Buckley has now won seven All-Ireland Camogie Titles, to add to her 11 titles in the Senior Ladies' Football Championship.

Last year, the dual-star along with teammate Briege Corkery won medal number 17, when Cork's footballers defeated Dublin in September. Corkery took the year off from both codes, while Buckley fully focused on Camogie.
Among the 18 titles are six Camogie-Ladies Football double titles. This year is Buckley's first Camogie title, that wont be followed by a Football medal. In her absence, Cork's footballers lost to Mayo in the All-Ireland semi-final last weekend.
From 2005, Buckley has now won an All-Ireland medal each year, apart from 2010. She has shown no signs of stepping away from the game, but when she does, Buckley will surely be remembered as one of Ireland's best ever sportswomen.
To add to her already legendary status, Buckley became the first person in the history of the GAA to captain All-Ireland-winning sides in both codes. She led the footballers to the All-Ireland in 2012 and 2015.
