The controversy in the US regarding the Washington Redskins name has been rumbling on for a while now, and it shows no sign of letting up.
Today, the NY Daily News have gone further than anybody else in accentuating the racist nature of the name Redskins, by suggesting the name and logo is on a par with the Swastika symbol of the Nazis and Confederacy flag of the southern states of the US from the American Civil War.
One has to feel that the sensationalism within this story is taking on Roy Hodgson proportions at this stage.
