]This is probably only for the people who are obsessing over Fagan, his testing positive for IPO and his pretty heartbreaking interview in today's Irish Times. Over the weekend, one of Fagan's running partners Abdi Abdirahman - who was by all accounts, a legitimate underdog - qualified for the US Olympic team in the marathon in Houston. A reporter from LetsRun.com interviewed Abdirahman after the race and after some polite banter, asked him if knew about Fagan's positive test. It's up to you to decide if Abdirahman is generally bewildered by the news or lying through his teeth, but he claims to have had no knowledge of Fagan's doping. The anecdote about Fagan disappearing 400 metres into a run a few weeks ago and never being seen again is pretty fascinating as well.
